ENDOCRINE HORMONES, ENERGY BALANCE AND BODY COMPOSITION:

NEW DATA, NEW INSIGHTS

The Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism/Bone Metabolism Unit of St.Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center sponsored a one-day symposium focusing on new developments in the effects of hormones and exercise on bone metabolism and growth. The symposium featured leading endocrinologists and physiologists from the Karolinska Institute in Sweden, as well as researchers from the St. Luke's-Roosevelt group. The symposium took place from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm at the Columbia University Faculty House (117th St. & Morningside Drive) on Thursday, October 29, 1998. Lunch was provided for all attendees.

The symposium was organized by Dr. Joseph Vasselli at the Obesity Research Center.
