| Course Description
Class focuses on how the University's Financial Account System (FAS) is organized; types of available funding and their restrictions; the relationship between the subsidiary and general ledgers; expenditure and fund transfers; basic types of reporting available and crucial compliance issues. It is also highly recommended you take the Using DARTS for Financial Reporting class so you can learn how to apply the principles learned (for your convenience, the DARTS class is held right after the CU Financial Accounting Overview class.) Presented by Jerald Boak, Assoc. Director, Finance Division Who Should AttendThis class is mainly targeted to Departmental Administrators, Business Managers, Financial Assistants and DAF approvers who need to understand Columbia’s financial processes. However, all Columbia staff are invited to attend.
